"The Quiet Becoming" is a reflection on healing, transformation, and the emergence of light after darkness. The figure, partially fused with the image of a white deer, embodies a self in the process of reclamation — delicate yet resilient. The deer, a symbol of spiritual guidance and gentle strength, leads the viewer through a layered landscape of memory and emotion. Surrounding elements — wild flora, abstract marks, and echoes of the natural world — evoke a subconscious terrain shaped by both pain and growth. Through soft light and muted shadows, the piece speaks to the quiet power of surviving, and the beauty that emerges when one begins to step fully into new light. This work reflects my ongoing interest in the cycles of becoming, the quiet force of resilience, and the spaces where humanity and wilderness meet.
